Hi your blog help me so much. My yorkie out of no where had pee in his blood. The Dr gave me BIOMOX and said to watch him for 48 hours.I need to get dog insurance.

Editor Note: Biomox is a form of amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic used for infection such as dog bladder infections.

The Sterile Catch showed no bacteria. The Vet thinks Cystitis caused by stress/anxiety. We're going to try anti-anxiety medicine and see how that works.

Thank you for your input. I'm taking him to the Vet tonight for a sterile catch and I'll let you know if they come up with anything. They also already did a xray with dye and didn't see any problems, and I thought I'd add that he doesn't seem to be in any pain. I'm wondering if he's not drinking enough water though. I have 2 dogs, and work during the day so I'm not sure how much he is drinking. I'll start to give him a little extra water in the morning and evening with an eyedropper.
